TWIN FALLS, ID – Across the United States, an estimated 108,000 children are currently waiting for a bed of their own. For families navigating economic hardship, a safe and comfortable place for their children to sleep is often out of reach.
At DaBella, we believe that this is a crisis no community should have to face alone. That is why we recently partnered with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) to help tackle this issue right in the heart of the Magic Valley.
Hands-On Support in Twin Falls
On Saturday, May 2nd, the DaBella Twin Falls team rolled up their sleeves and joined hundreds of local volunteers at the CSI Expo Center for a massive community bed build.
Guided by our core values to Lead, Care, and Grow, our team didn’t just write a check—we put in the sweat equity. We spent the day working alongside community members and local businesses to cut lumber, sand wood, and assemble sturdy bed frames. Every bed built during the event is being delivered directly to local families, complete with new mattresses and bedding, ensuring that children in the Magic Valley have a warm, safe place to lay their heads.
A Mission Deeply Rooted in the Community
For our Twin Falls team, this event held a deeply special significance. Sleep in Heavenly Peace wasn’t just a visiting charity; it was founded right here in Twin Falls in 2012 by Luke and Heidi Mickelson.
What began as a single project to help a local family has blossomed into a national movement with more than 300 chapters across the country. To date, SHP has delivered over 369,000 beds nationwide. Participating in the organization’s hometown chapter allowed our team to contribute to a mission that is deeply rooted in our local community but felt across the nation, all united by one powerful belief: “No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town.”

Why We Care
For DaBella, community investment is more than just a line item—it is at the very core of who we are. Through our DaBella Cares initiative, we have proudly supported veteran services, cancer research organizations, and families in need across the country.
Our connection to Sleep in Heavenly Peace reflects the same belief that has guided us since we opened our doors in 2011: caring for people does not stop at the front door.
“At DaBella, we believe that real growth comes from adding value to the people and communities around us. Supporting Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a reflection of that. This organization is doing critical, life-changing work for families who need it most, and our Twin Falls team was honored to put in the sweat equity to help make sure no child in their community has to sleep on the floor.”
— Luke Sorensen, Director of Community Engagement, DaBella
