KNIGHTS LANDING, CA – When it comes to keeping our communities safe, first responders are the ones on the front lines. But for all-volunteer forces like the Knights Landing Fire Department in California, budgets are incredibly tight. Every dollar is carefully allocated toward essential equipment, life-saving training, and day-to-day operations—meaning building upgrades and maintenance often have to take a back seat.

At DaBella, we believe that caring for homes also means caring for the families and communities behind them. That’s why we were honored to step in and support the Knights Landing crew at Station 9 for our latest Operation Hero Tribute.
A Much-Needed Upgrade for Station 9
The Knights Landing Fire Department was dealing with a common but frustrating problem: aging, highly inefficient windows. These old windows were doing the hardworking crew no favors, allowing heat and cold to seep in and driving up energy costs. For a volunteer department, those soaring utility bills were eating into resources that could be much better spent serving the community.
Recognizing the need, DaBella teamed up with our trusted vendor partner, Alside, to provide a complete, full-station window replacement—at absolutely no cost to the department.
Our crews proudly installed brand-new, energy-efficient Glasswing windows. With their station properly insulated against the elements, the department can now redirect those energy savings right back into what matters most: keeping Knights Landing safe.
A Personal Mission for the DaBella Team
Operation Hero Tribute was created precisely for projects like this—to look after the people who look after everyone else. But for the DaBella crew on-site, the Knights Landing project felt deeply personal. Several of our team members have family members who serve as first responders, and that personal connection shone through in the care and dedication they brought to the job. It wasn’t just another installation; it was a privilege to give back.
“For us it always comes back to our motto: lead, care, grow. We lead with our values, we care for the people around us, and because of that, we get to grow, together with the customers and vendor partners who make it all possible. None of this happens without the trust people put in us… Getting to do something like Station 9 because of that trust isn’t something we take for granted. It’s a privilege.”
