This week, members of DaBella at our Portland, OR location had the meaningful opportunity to join forces with Operation Homefront for their Back-to-School Brigade initiative. Students rolled up their sleeves and dedicated their time to assembling school supplies for children of military families, contributing directly to an organization that has made supporting America’s service members their unwavering mission.

We’re deeply grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside Operation Homefront in their vital mission. The energy and enthusiasm our Portland GMIT students brought to this project was inspiring. Watching them carefully organize backpacks, sort school supplies, and understand the direct impact of their efforts on military children preparing for a new school year reinforced why community engagement remains central to our mission. Each assembled kit represents hope, support, and recognition for families who have given so much in service to others.

Operation Homefront’s incredible work spans emergency financial assistance, transitional housing, permanent housing, and caregiver support—touching every aspect of military family life. Their holistic approach to supporting service members, veterans, and their families creates lasting change in communities across America.
