How long have you been in business?
Since 2011. We started DaBella in 2011 and now have more than 52 offices throughout the United States. As the leading home improvement company in the region, we have exclusive deals with leading American manufacturers. Will my project require a building permit?
Most projects don’t require a permit. In the event one is necessary, the homeowner will be responsible for the cost of obtaining it. We’ll determine if a permit is necessary and advise you on your options.
How long will my project take to complete?
It varies. Factors like project size, the install season and the amount of customization required will ultimately determine your timeline. Once your project is scoped, your Project Coordinator will provide you with an install timeline.
Will I need to be home while the work is being done?
If your project is inside—like a bath or shower replacement—YES. Someone needs to be available to let the contractors into the house. We also suggest that a homeowner be available during the project in case the contracting team has any questions.
Who will do the work? Are they qualified?
We will assign your project a dedicated contracting crew. Whether you’re replacing your roof, siding, windows, or bath, DaBella uses only trained installers who maintain manufacturer partners’ high quality standards.
Who should I contact with questions during an active project?
Your Project Coordinator. If you have questions during installation, your Project Coordinator will be the one to answer them. Find your Local Office Info.
What information do you need from me to start?
Not much. Once we understand your goals for your home and you’d like to proceed, we’ll ask for additional information. Then we can schedule an in-person meeting to take measurements, explain your options, and provide you with a quote on the spot.
Do you charge for quotes or estimates?

Roofing Q&A

Will my new roof have a maintenance program?
Yes, but nothing too difficult. We recommend you maintain records and conduct routine inspections to assure everything is working properly, but the GAF® roofs we install have the best warranty protection afforded by the Silver Pledge System Warranty at no additional cost to you. Will my roof have a warranty?
Yes. Every DaBella roof comes with GAF’s Silver Pledge warranty—at no additional cost to you. Homeowners have the option of purchasing the Golden Pledge warranty.
How will you dispose of any materials torn off my roof?
Your DaBella team will dispose of any materials removed from your old roof. During the process, they’ll work with you on where to place materials for disposal, where new materials are staged and where to park vehicles.
Do DaBella’s quotes include removal of the old roof?
Yes. We’ll provide you a detailed quote that includes removal of the old roof.
Is a roofing layover an option?
It can be, yes. But a roofing layover—or layering—is a temporary solution and may end up causing damage to your roof. In our experience, layering can invite problems like moss that will damage both the old and new shingles. In the end, this could cost you more than if you were to install a quality new roof.
What roofing materials do you recommend?
Our roofing experts will carefully evaluate your roof in terms of area, layout, slope, exposure and architecture to determine the best roofing material for your project. We’ll present you with the options during our in-person meeting.
What roofing products does DaBella use?

What is the most cost-effective roofing material?

Siding Q&A

Will my siding have a warranty?
Yes. Every DaBella siding project comes with either James Hardie or Alside’s industry-leading warranty. The warranty options vary, depending on which manufacturer and product is chosen. For more information visit Warranties.
How do I know if I need to replace my siding?
DaBella can help. It’s best to have a DaBella expert look at the condition of your siding to determine if it needs to be replaced. Some common signs that you may need to replace your siding are cracking, color fading, rotting or any other visible damage. Schedule an Inspection.
How should I clean or maintain my new siding? How often do I need to do this?
Siding doesn’t require much maintenance. An occasional cleaning every 6 to 12 months will help maintain its quality appearance. We don’t recommend cleaning your siding with a pressure washer because it can cause damage. Instead, use a soft, medium bristle brush (non-metal) to remove dirt and debris.
Besides the siding itself, what else will you replace?
Every project is different. DaBella experts will provide a quote that includes everything that they determine should be replaced, including, if necessary, trim, soffit work, eaves, etc. Please notify our experts of anything you think may need replacement so they can best advise you.
I don’t see any problems with my siding, but it’s old. Should I get it checked?

Why would I want new siding when I can just repaint the old siding?
Hidden damage. Problems that come with old siding, like rot and mold, are likely getting worse under the surface—even though your siding may look nice on the outside. Will my windows have a warranty?
Yes. With a lifetime limited transferable warranty, AMI Preservation® windows provide functional beauty and maintenance-free use that you can rely on season after season. For more information visit Warranties.
Do I have to install the new windows myself?
No. DaBella’s installers are trained to install your custom windows. While other window companies may charge you extra for installation, we clearly include it in our initial quote.
Can I expect energy savings from my new windows?

What are the benefits of better windows?

Even though I only want to replace the glass in my window, why should I instead consider a window replacement?
Savings and efficiency. Energy-saving windows have argon gas between the panes to increase energy efficiency. With age, the seals fail and the gas escapes. A longer-term, more energy-efficient solution is to replace the window itself, saving you money over time.
What can I do about windows that fog inside?

Baths Q&A

What not to use to clean an acrylic tub?
  • Don’t use any kind of steel wool brushes or sponges. These cleaning products are too rough on your tub and could create scratches.
  • Don’t use ammonia or bleach products. These chemicals break down acrylic over time and will cause extensive damage.
  • Don’t use cleaners that use aerosol. These types of products also break down the acrylic material.
  • Don’t use Paint thinner products as these are very harsh on your acrylic tub.
What cleaners can be used on acrylic tubs?
Cleaning products for your acrylic bathtub should be non-abrasive and gentle cleaners that won’t deteriorate your tub. Cleaning products that should be used include:
  • A gentle bristled brush, or a terry cloth or a soft sponge will be perfect to scrape off dirt and soap scum.

Will my bath or shower replacement have a warranty?

What bath and shower options do you offer?

Do you work on other parts of the bathroom?
DaBella only specializes in bath and shower replacement systems at this time.
Will I be able to immediately use my bathroom after it’s installed?
It’s best to wait a short while. We recommend waiting 24 hours before using your new bath or shower. This allows the caulking and seals to cure and settle.
My home only has one bathroom. How long will a bath or shower replacement take?
Not long. DaBella’s trained installers are experts. Installation typically only takes 24 hours, so it shouldn’t disrupt much of your daily routine.
Why replace my bathtub when I can reglaze or refinish it instead?
To avoid future problems. Refinishing your bath or shower may be less expensive, but it’s usually only a temporary fix. A full replacement will provide you with a beautiful, low-maintenance bath or shower for that will last for many years.

Are home improvement loans tax deductible?
We recommend contacting a tax expert for this information. We work with many financing companies and rules and regulations may vary greatly from state to state.
If I don’t want to take out a loan, what are my other options?
Some of our customers opt out of our financing options. Our experts can provide you with other solutions to fit your needs.
Can I consolidate this loan with my mortgage or any other loan?
That may be an option, yes. If you have a previous loan with DaBella, it may be possible. If you want to include this in a personal loan, you will have to contact that lender to see what options are available.
